No Practitioner Relationship

Reading my writing, downloading a guide, or booking a call does not make me your doctor, therapist, or practitioner. A booked call is a conversation with someone who has been through it and read the research. That's all it is.

Ownership

The writing, photographs, and downloads on this site are mine. You're welcome to quote a passage with credit and a link. You may not republish a whole essay, sell any of it, or feed it into a product without asking first. Anything you send me stays yours. If I want to quote it, I'll ask first.

I link to other sites and don't control them. Some links earn me a commission, disclosed in the Disclaimer.

Bookings and Payments

Paid subscriptions run through Substack. 1:1 Support Calls are booked and paid through Acuity.

Payment for a 1:1 support call is non-refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time.

I write in good faith and check my sources, but I can't promise this site is always accurate, always available, or right for your situation. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for what you decide to do with it.

FOR RETREATS

Retreat Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot for a retreat, 1-on-1 session, or small group ceremony. This applies regardless of the reason for cancellation, including change of mind, scheduling conflicts, or personal emergencies. Exception: the deposit is refunded if your application or health intake form isn't accepted. At my discretion, a deposit may be transferred to another person or rescheduled to another date, if enough notice is given. Additional fees may apply.

Remaining Balance

The remaining retreat balance is due in full one month before the retreat start date. If it's not received by then, your place may go to someone on the waiting list, and the deposit is forfeited.

Payment Responsibilities

Your payment must reflect the exact retreat fee. You're responsible for any additional fees, like bank transfer or currency exchange charges. From a US account, Venmo or PayPal typically don't incur fees. From a non-US account, a service like Wise may work better. We'll figure out the best option together.

Health and Liability

I recommend you carry your own health and/or travel insurance (WorldTrips Atlas, SafetyWing, or World Nomads are good starting points). Neither I nor anyone I work with for a retreat, session, or ceremony is responsible for personal injury, illness, or loss during that time.

Cancellations and Refunds

‍ If you cancel: 14+ days before the start date: full refund minus the $500 deposit 1–14 days before the start date: no refund, but the amount paid (excluding deposit) can be applied to a future retreat within two years

If I cancel: you get a full refund, including the deposit, minus a $100 administrative fee.

Other costs: this policy only covers the event itself. Flights, accommodations, travel documents, and COVID tests are your responsibility. I'm not liable for losses tied to travel or accommodation.

Changes

I may update these terms from time to time. Any changes apply to future bookings, and the date below shows when I last updated them.
